First car in my life, and I decided to buy a car from an agent, rather than from a private because of the warranty.

As a secondhand, 10 years old car, it had many problems for sure, like squeaks, battery etc. But thankful I met a good owner, Eoin. He helped me changed bearing, fuses and battery. He performs his duty properly. He just changed a new battery for me yesterday, and I tended to pay for that as I know for the battery replacement, it should not be not included in the warranty, but Eoin refused. He didn’t not charge me for that. He is really a good and kind owner with integrity to run business. It seems I connected with a right car agent, and I decide to buy cars from him in the future.

And by the way, don’t be nervous when you can’t get in touch with Eoin, he is just very busy. The worst case is you can always find him in the office(haha😆). Also never mind what mechanics said. My car was making noise after 2 weeks I bought it, then the mechanics did a test drive with me, he said” I would not fix it if this is my car, it’s not a big problem.” He said this not only once during the test driving. I finally said “This is my car, the first car in my life, I want it silent!” Then, mechanics did not say anything. My car is finally fixed, Eoin changed a bearing for me. So mechanics just stand on their own views, they think it’s not worth to hang a car up only for checking the noise. However, no worries and don’t care about what they said, they will finally help you on this.

Overall, it is a good experience buying a car from Murphy Doyle. Eoin is very good man, secondhand cars always have problems, be patient.

Purchased a 2015 Honda  from this company last September. All cars sold fully serviced apparently but there has been an engine warning light on pretty much since day one. When I phoned them about it they were not interested in helping and told  me to phone the warranty company Mapafre who advised that the parts that are needed are not covered under the warranty. I traded my old car in towards this car and in addition their man who took my old car away drove through the M50 on the way back and did not pay the toll (I had to pay the toll). There was no interest in doing anything about that either. They are very keen to sell you a car but I have to say the after sales care here is non existent

Please, stay away from this garage. I bought a car from them last year, and I have some many issues with this car. The manager (Eoin) does not care about my claims, he blocked me on WhatsApp   when I was questioning him about the car's history, car's manual, it is very unprofessional. I bought a Honda fit 2016 with them, but they never told me that this car is a Japanese imported, he advised me to get a quote manually and asked me to select different engine from car insurance website , I just realized it this year when I was trying to get a new quote from different company.  Also, on carsimple warranty made by them there is another engine, on my car's Revenue document there is 1496, carsimple warranty 1337 and before I bought this car from them, he advised me to select S 1339 cc. I am feeling cheating unfairly, it was my first car that I got in Ireland. I chose a garage to buy a car, because I did not want any issues and problems, but I have so many issues with my car.
My issue with the garage started when I brought my car to get the NCT done on 8th October 2023. My car has been failed on NCT, because the shocks. I contacted the garage, they asked me to contact the carsimple warranty, and after the diagnostic from a mechanic recommended by carsimple, the shocks are leaking, and the warranty does not cover it.
I bought this car with 79800KM and I barely used the car, the miles now is 83852KM. I went to the garage I have talked to Eoin, and he said if I want to open a complaint with SIMI and see what they say, I did it on 16/10/23, but I am still waiting for this problem to be solved. Because I must bring my car back to NCT retest by 7/11/2023, I have paid to replace those shocks. I paid €440 euros plus NCT retest of €28 euros. I am looking for the garage refund me this amount paid by myself. I have the olds shocks with me, those shocks are well worn. The mechanic told me that those shocks should be replaced before the car be sold to me. I have a claimant with the SIMI, but still now waiting for a response from them. I have to go to the court against this garage, because it is clear that they just wanted to seller the car to me, and hold important information from me.

Sellers must not make false claims that would influence your buying decisions. A seller who makes a false or misleading claim about a product is committing an offence and can be prosecuted. (CPC law)

I would not give any star for this garage, but I have to select it, otherwise I am not able to include a review here.
